Sometimes I like to create pictures that I call "visual puns". Even without being told the title, you might guess it was "Bear-Foot". The foot was formed by mapping a picture of a real foot onto a mesh created using a height map. The little bears are formed out of simple trueSpace objects glued together. The fur on the bears was created using a fur texture and a bump map. The string was formed using the trueSpace Sweep tool. After rendering the image in trueSpace, I used a photo-paint program to smear the fur texture on the edges of the bears a little ways into the background. This helped enhance the fur effect. I also smeared the string a bit to add some irregularities and smeared the hairs on the top edge of the leg.
